How CFP Works

CAROLINAS FIRE PAGE Dispatchers and members monitor local public safety frequencies for confirmed emergency incidents.

Members are encouraged to participate in the network by providing information on incidents in their area. Members can submit information using email or a web page form, by calling a toll free hotline, or by contacting a Dispatcher directly using Nextel Direct Connect.

When an incident meets the strict CFP dispatch criteria, Dispatchers use our FireForce 2 computer system to send alerts to members. Alerts are instantly sent to the wireless device or email address of our members. As incidents escalate, pertinent updates are issued.

Members also have the option of receiving important weather watches and warnings from the National Weather Service. Members can choose any combination of the 146 North and South Carolina counties.
