Fire Service.      The Chat area does not require any special software, only a javascript enabled browser (which you probably have). Please read through all of these instructions first.      Click the "Activate Chat" button above, which will open a window that looks like this:

Allow a few seconds (depending on your connection speed), then the applet will load and look like this:

Enter your name (or CFP number) in the "Your name:" box. "Your profile:" is optional. You may want to choose a unique name, since "guest" is rather obvious. Then click "CHAT!" The following window will appear:

You can disable the audio alerts under "Options/Audio Alerts". Type your message in the space above where "Double click a name...." appears.      To begin, return to the top of the page and choose "Activate Chat."
