FireNews.net Incident Report
MVC on Independence

Published TUE MAR 16

CHARLOTTE - Charlotte firefighters from Engine 24 and Engine  8, along with Charlotte Mecklenburg Police and MEDIC, were called to a two-car crash in the inbound lanes of Independence Blvd near the Albemarle Road intersection Monday just before noon.

Charlotte firefighters worked quickly to stabilize
the two damaged cars, where one car crashed into a stopped vehicle. Four people received injuries, but they did not appear to be life threatening.

Firefighters were able to safely remove all the victims from the crash site in less than ten minutes. They were all transported by Medic to a nearby hospital. CMPD is the lead investigating agency. This crash site is located in the Hwy 74 construction site.
