Firefighter Dies On Way to
Training

SAMPSON COUNTY - Junior Volunteer
Firefighter Phillip Stephen Hulen, age 19, died in a single vehicle
accident on Tuesday, April 6, 2004. The accident occurred at
approximately 19:00 hours on U.S. 701 near Stewart Road in Johnston
County.
He was en route to a department mandated training class
when the accident happened.
