Two Alarm Apartment Fire Held to Four Units

CHARLOTTE - The Charlotte Fire Department was called to the North Pointe
Apartments just off of North Tryon street Thursday around 11:00 a.m.

     Firefighters from Ladder 27 reported heavy fire and smoke conditions in the
attic and roof area upon arrival. All occupants escaped unharmed.

     This incident went to a 2nd alarm fire department response with over thirty (30) firefighters called into action. It took approximately 30 minutes to control
the fire with damage reported to four (4) apartments of which only two were occupied. Estimated fire damages were put at $200k with two families displaced.

     The cause of this fire was ruled accidental.
