CAROLINAS FIRE PAGE began operations in December of 1995.  The service began with PageNet (now Arch Paging) with three members based in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Since that time, CFP has grown into a multi-system network tracking and sharing information on Breaking News for the fire service.

Our original mission remains the same:  to know about emergencies as they are happening.

In the beginning, our service was only available to PageNet alphanumeric pagers.  In 1999, Metrocall was added as a service provider.  Now, through our newly installed FireForce system, members have the option of receiving notifications to any email account, alphanumeric pager, two-way pager, text message enabled cell phone, wireless PDA or any email enabled device.

CAROLINAS FIRE PAGE has in place reciprocal agreements with over thirty similar networks.  Members have the option at no additional cost to receive notification of Multiple Alarm Fires and other Breaking News incidents from around the country.

Members can also receive severe weather alerts from the National Weather Service.  This information is delivered on a per county basis.  There is no charge for this service with a current CFP account.
